Xelas

Tried Xelas in Boyle Heights the other night (10/01): El Lote (grilled corn in a cup w/mayo, cotija cheese, & ground chili) and Quesatacos de Calbasitas (cheese topped w/squash, corn, & celery) with El Raspado Man (Sake infused Jamaica raspado), Brewyard Beer Rye HURR Märzen, and Tin City Cider Polly Dolly. There’s been a lot of chatter (and pushback) regarding gentrification in this ‘hood lately, but I gotta tell ya… If you’re serving cheap, good, local beers and slushy saké drinks, this guera’s stoppin’ by.
